When Brisbane metalcore outfit Vessel Born formed earlier this year they wanted to write the best music they could and make a strong first impression. With a growing following and a debut EP that is receiving stellar reviews, the band can certainly tick off those two goals on their ‘to do’ list.
The release of their first EP Stateless in November, gave fans a glorious introduction to the brutal, sharp, high-energy powerhouse that Vessel Born are. Lead singer Shaun Coar says the band put a lot of hard work into making the record and they’re proud of the result.
“The Stateless EP as a whole is about finding the good against the overwhelming odds that life sometimes throws at you. We have received some good feedback so far, and that means a lot to us,” he said.
Having just wrapped up their Stateless EP tour, the band are now setting their sights on what they’d like to achieve in 2016.
“There is so much more we can do as a band to really set ourselves apart from everything else that is out there, and show that we are worth paying attention to. This is just the beginning for us!”

VESSEL BORN’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS
Write more music. We feel the EP is just a beginning and we can’t wait to explore what else we can do as a band.
Play more shows. We want to get out there as much as we can and play, play, play.
Be more interactive. We want to make our social media platforms a little more fun to follow.
Produce some cool merch. We want you to wear it!
Tour overseas. This one is more of a long term goal, but if we can do shows in the northern hemisphere that would be amazing.
