Are you a local artist looking to take the next step up in your career? Are you a seasoned gigging pro wondering what comes next? Are you a music aficionado looking for some insight into real world industry life? Then, Little BIGSOUND is for you.
The offspring of Australia’s premier industry conference, BIGSOUND, Little BIGSOUND returns in 2018 with a jam-packed program for 15-25 year olds looking to gain real life skills, network and engage with their local music scene.
Presented by QMusic and Brisbane City Council, Little BigSound 2018 takes place at the State Library’s The Edge this Saturday, 10 November from 10AM – 4PM, boasting an incredible lineup of leading music industry professionals.
Young aspiring artists will have the opportunity to network with local music managers, PR professionals, marketing managers and festival organisers (Splendour in the Grass anyone?) while also checking out the latest and greatest in production technology courtesy of Ableton.
If all of the above doesn’t already have you on the edge of your seat, then the fact that WAAX frontwoman Marie DeVita (who’s been blowing up airwaves across the country) is the mini- keynote speaker giving advice and insight into her journey, should do the trick. Two emerging artists will also be showcasing at the event, courtesy of BIGSOUND.
If you’re a young muso this is THE EVENT you need to get yourself along to. Not only does Little BIGSOUND give you a great chance to gain insight into the business side of music from those currently in the scene, you can also mingle with your peers – who knows, you might just find someone cool to tee up and collaborate with!
Little BIGSOUND takes place at The Edge this Saturday, 10 November from 10AM – 4PM. Nab tickets via OzTix ($35 + bf) before they’re all gone. Full program available HERE.
