Having amassed over 300,000+ streams on their 2019 debut EP SixFour, Brisbane rockers Selfish Sons are back, unleashing their anthemic new single, Sleep.
A powerful piece that delivers it’s message in an optimistic, feel-good medium, Sleep was written to help explain and provide insight into the burdens that come with insomnia and anxiety – a serious battle that frontman Jordy Marcs has faced in the past.
“It led me through a dark place, where I became so comfortable at night that I started seeing everything differently, totally worn out and deprived. This song is about trying to figure out what was real,” said Jordy.
An easy listen that draws you in with poignant verses and glorious choruses, Sleep is a track to have on repeat as you go about your daily business, or to turn up loud when you need a hit of motivation.
Standing in solidarity with their beloved local music community, Selfish Sons are paying it forward with compliments to Fresco Kyoto, Marco and Sycco. See what kind words they have for these great artists below, and stream all their music in our >>> A Song A Day For Solidarity Spotify Playlist <<<
SOLIDARITY THROUGH SONG: ‘LOCAL ARTISTS WE'RE LOVING’ BY SELFISH SONS
Fresco Kyoto | Song: Whatever You Say
Fresco Kyoto are easily one of the most impressive acts coming out of Brisbane. The tight knit production and amazing vocals featured in their songs always seem to make us feel something special. Their new single Whatever You Say was premiered this morning and it is already one of the best songs we will see in 2020.
Marco | Song: Harder To Breathe
Marco is one of the most exciting additions to the world of Pop music. His new song Harder To Breathe is insanely catchy, the production is amazing and his vocals are out of this world. Marco is about to take the world by storm and we can’t wait to see him do it.
Sycco | Song: Nicotine
Sycco is easily one of the coolest artists that has ever come out of Brisbane. Her vocals are so soothing and her songs never fail to make us groove. Her newest single Nicotine is her best yet, perfectly blending psychadelic and RnB music. The bass is also super tasty.
