After amassing over 1 million Spotify plays on their debut EP, Brisbane folk-rockers Boatkeeper return with their brand new record, Vessels, – a folk hit that’ll tingle your nerves with delight.

Not one to shy away from genre diversity. Boatkeeper breathe personality and flair into each song on Vessels, giving each a life of its own. “We knew we had six very different sounding songs, having a folk, alternative, roots, folk-rock, pop and another folk song.  We wanted the EP to be diverse and not pigeon hole our genre. With the assistance of our producer, Govinda Doyle (Angus & Julia Stone, Pete Murray, Caravana Sun), we made each song with its own identity,” said front man Boyd Fuller.

Vessels begins on a relaxing note with Roam before Shadows kicks things up a notch, captivating the listener with upbeat tones. Poignant track, Refugee, continues this pace before the EP takes a soul-soothing turn with Peace In Me. But the touching lyrics and beautiful music doesn’t stop there, with the slow burn coming to a head on the heart-wrenching, Still I Sing before ending on So Much More, a track filled with emotional charm.

Boatkeeper is not afraid to throw you into a pool full of emotions and let you swim around. Vessels is a record filled with everything you need to get hooked – brilliant music, an array of emotions, and six songs you’ll fall in love with for different reasons.

Wade into the whimsical waters of Boatkeeper’s latest release Vessels (OUT NOW), and catch the band launching the record at Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge tomorrow night, Friday 22 June from 7PM. More event info HERE.
