The New Year is off to a flying start for Brisbane garage-afro-soul merchants The Francis Wolves, who are today unveiling their music video for debut single Valley Heat.

The music video was filmed at ‘The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft’ in Bristol (UK) by Matchbox Crew, and features artists DNT and Mr.SleVen creating cool Valley Heat graffiti art amidst various street performers.

“The initial idea was just to do a single camera time-lapse shot of DNT and Mr. SleVen creating the Valley Heat graffiti, but the crew took it to the next level recruiting performers and adding extra cameras,” said bass player Brian L’Huillier.

“We like letting talented people do their thing so we didn’t give the crew too much direction. Our only input was ‘wouldn’t it be cool to have someone graff the words – Valley Heat.’ Next thing you know we have a film clip,” he said.

The music video is just the beginning of a busy year for the band, who will be dropping their second single Gothic Surf Club on 23 January, followed by their self-titled debut album which will be out later this year.
