Showcasing the special moments of three very different people in one location (Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley), Silence The Sun’s latest single and accompanying music video Fault Line captures the light and shade of everyday life.

The follow up single to 2016’s FacelessFault Line retains the band’s signature prog-rock sound, providing another glimpse of what’s to come on their debut album Sailing Empty Streets, which drops in September. Mixing loud and brash elements with mellow “introverted” sections, Fault Line tells a story many will relate to.

Fault Line is about the fact that everyone at some stage of their life walks a fine line where things feel like they could go down an uncontrollable path from bad to worse,” said vocalist and guitarist Maf Davis.

“At those times, it’s often the simple moments that provide the most comfort and solace.”

Directed by Sean Gobey, the accompanying music video uses an array of filming techniques, including infra red technology, to echo the song’s lyrical sentiment.

“The story-line of the clip mirrors the general theme of the song – moments that help push us on and make us who we are.  There’s a certain feeling of triumph and happiness in the clip combined with a slight tinge of melancholy. It’s fun and touching all wrapped into one.”
