If you’re looking to escape to another time and place without leaving the house, then Huntington’s latest offering Mt Notting is just the trip.

With an upbeat intro that draws you in and lyrics and guitar lines that hypnotise like a lullaby, Mt Notting continues the band’s penchant for writing dreamy laments.

“I like to create an ambient and dreamy atmosphere to portray a feeling before I even think about lyrics. A relaxed frame of mind is the only way I can write,” said front man Kyle Morley.

“For me, My Notting is about the small moment of satisfaction from anything you put a lot of work into. The inspiration came from a day I spent at Mt Tamborine with a girl I was seeing, and then coming home to my music space overlooking Mt Cootha.”

The track is the follow up to Huntington’s debut single Free Bird, which they launched to an enthusiastic crowd at The Zoo last month.

“Our first show at The Zoo was amazing, we were so stoked with the turn out and the incredible support Free Bird has received!”

The band are currently working on developing their sound, building their live show and recording new tracks as they go.
