Channelling the classic ’60s and ’70s rock and summer love vibes of Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles, Black Sun’s new single Yesterday is a musical ode to past eras, with a modern day message.
An upbeat, electric rock number, Yesterday is about learning lessons that should have already been learnt.
“Yesterday is about repeatedly rolling your heart to cats who don’t have the best intentions for it, and still not learning from your mistake. It’s about relationships, good and bad, and what we can learn from those experiences,” said Alex.
The Brisbane quartet are currently working on their next single and hope to have an EP out later this year. Fans heading along to their single launch at The Zoo tomorrow night can expect to hear some of their new material.
“We’ve got a few brand new songs we’ll be playing for the first time and it will just be us boys rocking our hearts out, with some special visuals in tow. It’s going to be a night of blistering, electrifying rock n roll church music.”
