Revenge, heartache, and betrayal. Brisbane’s ARCVDIA unveils a dark and vulnerable side to her artistry on her fearless new single Dig 2 Graves, out 29 May.
Arriving just as we all begin to emerge from our isolation caves, in Dig 2 Graves the multi-talented and edgy singer-songwriter and producer has penned an empowering anthem for those who’ve suffered at the hands of heartache, and she’s taking no prisoners in her bold stride.
“I love this song because of its power. It shows my stronger side – if you want to take me down, then I’ll take you down too,” said Maddy Thompson, the face behind ARCVDIA.
Dedicated to her craft as a producer, ARCVDIA experiments with new soundscapes and minimalist electronica in Dig 2 Graves that ultimately compliments her hands on approach to her music. The follow up to her debut single Like You Did, Dig 2 Graves sees the songstress continue to pursue her penchant for musical storytelling.
“ARCVDIA gives me an opportunity to express my feelings and share my stores the only way I know how – through my music”.
This haunting single sees ARCVDIA collaborate with local artists including, singer-songwriter Tiarne who features on electric guitar, producer Dylan Lindquist (Pure Milk, Clawmachine and Soft Nylon) and industry favourite Paul Blakey (Amy Shark), who respectively mixed and mastered the track.
Carving her name on the pop industry, this is only the beginning for ARCVDIA, with more exciting releases and collaborations set for 2020.
