Going down like sweet lemonade on a hot day, Aerborn’s poptastic new banger, Show Me is destined to add electro-pop sunshine to your summer playlist and inspire your New Year’s Resolutions, when it drops this Thursday, 28 November.
Weaving spacious vocals with sugary synth-loaded beats and quirky glockenspiel hooks, Show Me is the latest feat for the Brisbane songstress, whose debut single, Smokers and Jokers landed Triple J Unearthed rotation and over 300k Spotify streams.
A living, breathing example of the doors that open when you come into your own, it’s fitting that Aerborn’s latest musing is a musical slice about finding your tribe and actioning your goals.
“Show Me is about being with and supporting the people around you,” said the 23-year old, who realised her childhood dream of becoming an artist when her job as a chef left her unfulfilled.
“Pursuing music seemed out of reach at first, but when I started talking about my goals, they became real. By being vulnerable and building community, I got further than I could have ever done by myself.”
Likened to Aussie electro-pop heavyweights Alison Wonderland and Flume, Aerborn has been making a splash in the local scene, taking out the QUBE Effect’s 2018 Innovation Award for her creative music and stage show, and supporting the highly acclaimed Sarah Blasko in 2019. Dubbed a “triple threat” singer, songwriter and producer, Aerborn is a role model for all those who need a dose of inspiration to pursue their wildest dreams.
“I imagine people chilling with their friends or listening to Show Me when they need a mood boost or to feel motivated.”
Whether you’re looking to change careers, explore new interests or simply need a new tune to play on repeat this summer, Aerborn’s Show Me is the answer.
