It’s no secret that ‘making it’ in the music industry can be hard. With limited funds and resources, artists are often left to traverse the jungle-like ravines of the industry, juggling not just the music-making process but management, self-promotion and everything in between.

Enter the PR/Media dream team – Kitty Kitty Bang Bang publicist Kylie Cobb and Blank GC Editor, Samantha Morris. With over 30 years combined experience in marketing and media, Kylie and Sam are turning their talents and attention to helping musicians help themselves with the launch of their new Power-Up Series.

The Power-Up Series promises to unmask the mysteries of music media and marketing in a range of workshops covering social media, publicity, branding, fan engagement and partnerships. Basically everything an artist needs to effectively build and maintain their industry profile.

“Offering punchy, personal and practical workshops seemed like the perfect way to give independent artists access to information often reserved for ‘the big guns’,” said Power-Up Series co-founder and facilitator Kylie Cobb.

The first of these workshops, a two-hour boot-camp titled Creatives & The Power Of A Bangin’ Profile, will launch the series on 19 April. It promises to show artists how to build an industry profile that aims to earn them more money, more fans and greater opportunities to create and perform.

“The boot-camp is a content-rich, intensive session that’ll kick your butt into the world of media and marketing. There will be heaps of strategies and ideas you can implement straight away. If you’re thirsty for more, our follow-up workshops offer more hands-on, in-depth guidance,” said co-founder Sam Morris.

Due to popular demand (there are only three spots left for the 19 April workshop), Sam and Kylie have released a second date for the Creatives & The Power Of A Bangin’ Profile workshop on 4 May.

If you’re a creative looking to power-up your skills to better manage your career, make sure you take a gander at all the goodies the Power-Up Series has to offer!
