With a finalists list that includes breakout acts like Eliza & the Delusionals and international pop sensensations Sheppard and Amy Shark, the Queensland Music Awards (QMAs) are rolling out the red carpet tonight, Monday 14 May, to celebrate another stellar year of musical earcandy from the Sunshine State.
Representing a range of genres, from pop, rock, dance and hip hop to country, blues, jazz, world and funk, as well as categories for Singer-Songwriter, Regional, Festival, Venue, Album and Video Of The Year, the QMAs have got the goods when it comes to introducing audiences to the cream of Queensland’s musical crop.
Front runners this year include international indie-pop love, Amy Shark, who’s up for three gongs, while Mackay songstress Tia Gostelow, heavyweights The Jungle Giants and The Kite String Tangle, and rising stars Eleea, King Social, WAAX and Cub Sport follow close behind with two finalist spots each.
Whether you’re a music industry veteran, lover of local music or newbie to the scene, we’ve put all the music you need to be QMAs ready in one place with our EarCandy QMAs 2018 playlist, featuring upbeat tracks from 22 of this year’s finalists.
