Ahead of their ‘Back To The Future Eyes’ farewell show at The Foundry this weekend, Guards Of May lead singer Richie Harvey answered a few Back To The Future themed questions for our second ‘Mid-Week Musing’ instalment. Here’s what he had to say…

BACK TO THE FUTURE

Q1. If ‘Doc’ Brown pulled up outside my house and offered me the chance to travel to any time and place in the past or future, I’d travel to…

2016 to see if Trump becomes president. If that happens the world will definitely start to look like the future where Biff is mayor of Hill Valley. Imagine going to the Trump Whitehouse and Casino!

Q2. Out of all of the cool inventions in the BTTF movies, the one I wish was real is…

The hoverboard for sure! Not the little girl’s pink hoverboard Marty gets though, it would have to be the Pitbull!

Q3. If Guards Of May performed at the ‘Enchantment Under The Sea’ Dance in the first movie, the reaction from the people of the 1950s would be…

I reckon Principle Strictland would have shut us down after the first chorus of our opening song, but the punch was spiked so who knows they might have loved it!

Q4. Out of Biff and Marty I’d be friends with…

Biff! He has all the cool lines – “Hey Mcfly!” “Butthead!”  “I hate manure”

Q5. If I could go back in time to get a music lesson from any musician (deceased or alive) it would be…

Michael Jackson in the 1990’s. I was a massive fan of his as a young fella and it would have been great to learn from such an eccentric genius. Not only his vocal and lyrical skills but the way he danced and moved on stage.

Find out more about what the band have in store for their ‘Back To The Future Eyes’ show in our extended interview with Richie here.

Guards Of May’s ‘Back To The Future Eyes‘ farewell show is on this Saturday, 12 December at The Foundry from 7.30pm. Grab your tickets, prepare your costume and get ready to party!
