Pull out the flare pants and big hair, Brisbane rockers The Eagle Junction are hosting a 1970s themed gig at Black Bear Lodge on 20 April, and they want you there!
Having already thrown a 1960s themed party at The Brightside earlier this year, the band are keen to celebrate another decade that continues to influence their music.
“Our sound is heavily inspired by music from this era so it seemed fitting to have 1970s themed event. Themed gigs are fun, people like them and there aren’t enough of them around,” said lead singer Bambie Berlin.
Joining The Eagle Junction on the night will be locals Fight Ibis, The Submissives and Port Royal.
“We thought all three bands would be really fitting for the night in terms of their sound and appearance. They all have an awesome stage presence that we think people who come to see us will enjoy.”
The band will be dressed in theme and would love everyone to don their coolest 70s attire for the event.
“We will all be dressed up. I’ve got a pair of vintage paisley print flares I’m thinking of rocking on the night. We’ll also have a few 70s cover songs in our set along with the new material we’ve been working on.”
For a psychedelically good time, make sure you get your costume ready and get to Black Bear Lodge next Wednesday night. All event details here.
