It’s been a busy and exciting week for Brisbane grunge-rockers Flannelette, who performed and filmed their next music video at EarCandy on Saturday night. Now we’re thrilled to bring you the first details of their upcoming single Livin To Die and the music video they’ve got in the pipeline.
Livin To Die, which will be out in the coming weeks, will be the band’s first release since their EP Valley Nights dropped last year. The track has a massive sound, and speaks of the race we often find ourselves in throughout life.
“Livin To Die is about the race we put ourselves through as young people and those few who never quite grow out of it or run it too fast, too young. It’s pretty much an observation of the crazy kids that hit life too hard,” said Matt.
The music video for the track which was filmed by Flannelette friends Stephen Denham, Corben Mitchell and Simon Merange, captures the band’s energetic live set at EarCandy, with some fun before and after shots likely to make it in as well.
“Livin To Die is a really fast hard hitting track, so we really wanted to capture the full energy of the song as well as being able to show people what we bring to our live shows every time we play,” said Jaymes.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled to Flannelette’s Facebook page over the next month to ensure you don’t miss these exciting releases!
