Brisbane quartet Port Royal’s latest single Get Heavy got bodies shimmying, but it’s the song’s accompanying tongue-in-cheek music video that really turned heads.
With a puppet named Treath filling in for front man Lawson Doyle, the clip shows how Port Royal were ‘little people’ in a big scene when they first started performing. Beginning with a garage jam, Lawson’s puppet twin leads the band through a journey that ends with them playing a sold-out show to an adoring crowd.
Now the band is taking fans behind-the-scenes with photos and a video detailing how they worked with Director Julian D’arcy to create this unique and humorous visual tale. Be warned, after seeing the fun they had, you may end up wanting a doppleganger puppet of your own!
