They may have had a few twists in the path concerning line-up changes and releases, but everything is falling into place this year for Brisbane duo The Royal Artillery.
Influenced by stoner rock, The Royal Artillery are making a name for themselves with their heavy rocking blues sound. They’ve received national radio play, list touring with Seth Enslow and the Crusty Demons as career highlights and have become regulars on the festival circuit.
Despite their national reach, The Royal Artillery will always be Brisbanites at heart, believing our local music scene has a lot to offer.
“We love that Brisbane keeps it real. We’ve got a great local scene while still attracting the biggest touring artists. Plus, 4ZZZ is the best radio station in the world, respect!”
As supporters of the local music scene, the band are stoked to be playing Brisbane blues-rock festival Mojo Burning next month – a festival they say aids in the progression of the local blues scene.
“Festivals are the epitome of live music – so much goes into putting a big day together and it really sets the tone for the occasion. Mojo Burning always has the best line-ups featuring the who’s who of traditional and modern blues artists – it’s a real romp!”
So if you want to see “two tanned and shirtless euro-brothers with long hair sweating out the blues,” get along to The Royal Artillery’s set at Mojo Burning Festival next month.
Catch The Royal Artillery at Mojo Burning Festival on Saturday, 12 March at the Hamilton Hotel. All event and ticket information available here.
