In less than a week BIGSOUND will be upon us. Over the nights of 9 – 10 September, Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley will be bursting with the sweet sounds of 150 of the best up-and-coming music acts from Australia and abroad. The Brisbane music scene is set to shine, with over 30 local artists taking to BIGSOUND stages next week. Here’s five Brisbane acts we think you’d be silly to miss at BIGSOUND 2015.
Avaberée have won a legion of fans with their beautiful infusion of harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. With their EP In Your Arms I Found My Secrets released just three days ago, Avaberée will be setting hearts ablaze with their new music during their BIGSOUND performance next week.

Psych-rock five piece Moses Gunn Collective are sure to sparkle at BIGSOUND this year. Releasing their debut album Mercy Mountain last month, the band will turn the party up at BIGSOUND with their new tunes and glittering stage presence.

Since forming in 2007, The John Steel Singers have become a phenomenal pop force in the Brisbane and Australian music scene. Fans can expect to hear new music from the band’s forthcoming album, including their latest single Weekend Lover during their BIGSOUND set.

Indie-pop band Hey Geronimo have made waves not just locally but internationally with their catchy tunes, racking up over 1 million views on Youtube – impressive! The band are returning to BIGSOUND in 2015, and if you haven’t checked them out before, then next Thursday is your chance to do so!

Winners of the Triple J Unearthed BIGSOUND competition in 2013, indie-rockers Major Leagues are set to return to the showcase in 2015. Be sure to get down to the Woolly Mammoth next Thursday to hear their latest single Someone Sometime and get ready to rock!
