Brisbane’s country sweetheart Bridget O’Shannessy knows a thing or two about staying occupied while travelling.
Having just returned from performing at London, Shanghai and Los Angeles fashion weeks, Bridget is back home and heading to Kooralbyn to play Homespun Bazaar Festival on Saturday, 29 October with 21 other local, up-and-coming acts.
With 12 hours of entertainment for the whole family, including live music, market stalls and activities for the kids, Homespun Bazaar is well worth travelling for.
Situated approximately an hour West of Brisbane, the Scenic Rim town of Kooralbyn plays host to Homespun Bazaar. If you’re heading to the festival Bridget recommends making the most of your road trip by playing these three games on the way:
- Classic Eye-Spy. Always a favourite!
- 21. How the game works is the members playing must all count to 21. However, you have to take turns calling out the numbers; no one member can call out numbers consecutively, it must be random; you can’t plan it out beforehand and if two or more members call out a number at the same time you have to start from 1 again. It’s chaotic and it’s fun.
- The Alphabet Game. All you have to do is find each letter in alphabetical order on the street signs, but the letter must be outside the car and visible to all the members playing.
Homespun Bazaar takes place at Billabong Park, Kooralbyn, QLD on Saturday 29 October from 10AM-10PM. $2 entry at the gates. More event info is available here. Full line-up below.
