Back for its fifth swirl around the Milk Factory stage, The BLOOM Series has a fabulous, five star line-up to present on 7 June featuring Tokyo Twilight, Fieu, Action Slacks, Ash Riske and Madeleine McCaw.
Known for delivering line-ups punters stay the bill for, The BLOOM Series, which is presented by local songstress Tiarne and sponsored by Music Is My Muse, brings together local musicians and lovers of live music in a celebratory and supportive atmosphere.
“The support is what sets BLOOM apart,” said BLOOM Series Founder Tiarne.
“It is such an important thing as an artist to feel that loving support from not just the audience but your local music community and that’s what Bloom is about. We are all here to enjoy and create art, not to compete or judge, but to accept and embrace everyone for who they are.”
Curating the line-up from public applications she sought earlier this year, Tiarne says she was humbled by the number of local acts who put their hand up to be involved.
“It was awesome discovering so many new artists. I found I was drawn to artists who had a story to share and something unique to offer Bloom.”
So without further ado, Tiarne walks us through the who’s who of The BLOOM Series’ fifth soiree…
WHO’S WHO OF BLOOM #5 (WORDS BY TIARNE)
Tokyo Twilight: The beats BANG! I’d heard Tokyo Twilight’s tune Little Things and saw them perform the song at this year’s Queensland Music Awards. I was immediately drawn in by their stage presence. When I saw they’d applied for BLOOM I was so excited to get them on board – it was a real fan girl moment.
Fieu: I’ve seen this girl’s name and face everywhere! I was captivated by her online presence and listened to her latest single Awake and instantly fell in love! Her vocals are amazing and I am so excited to see her perform live at BLOOM.
Action Slacks: My friend Richard had a killer band back in the day called Electric Suede. This is his new project full of 80s synth blended with pop-rock grooves. This will be one of their first shows as a band and I’m super keen to have them on board for BLOOM.
Ash Riske: Ash is an artist who is well known around Brisbane. I’ve listened to her gorgeous songs online – she has a stunning voice and powerful lyrics. I’m really excited to have her on board and can’t wait to see her perform live.
Madeleine McCaw: Madeleine McCaw has this aura around her and you just know she has a story to tell. Her sound blows me away and I just know she’ll deliver a very moving performance.
A blossoming community that continues to grow, Tiarne is looking forward to welcoming artists and punters, old and new, to The BLOOM Series #5 on 7 June.
“The Bloom Series is the perfect place to discover the best talent in town in a comfortable and magical environment surrounded by fairy lights and flowers with angelic sounds of music hugging your ears. I can’t wait to see everyone there!”
