For 40 years community broadcaster 4ZZZ has been supporting the community and local musicians, playing independent music and bringing listeners the latest in independent and alternative news.

As a not-for-profit organisation, 4ZZZ has operated on community subscriptions for over 38 years, with their annual August Radiothon being one of the main fundraising efforts that helps cover the costs of running the radio station.

4ZZZ’s Radiothon starts tomorrow, Saturday 22 August and runs till Monday 31 August. Over these 10 days, community members are invited to purchase or renew their 4ZZZ subscription for the chance to win some exciting prizes, while also supporting the great work of community radio.

Prizes for Under 18, Concession and Full subscribers include entertainment goodies such as: a $2,000 voucher to use at Crowbar (Brisbane’s home of hard rock and heavy metal), an annual gold pass for Dendy Cinemas, and a Byron Bay Bluesfest Festival package.

For musician/band/DJ subscribers there’s prizes including a guitar pack from Guitar Brothers and a PA system from Acoustic Technologies, whilst passionate business subscribers will go in the running to win a hifi system from The Audio Tailor.

There’s also a bunch of cool daily prizes to be won including a season and camping pass to Woodford Folk Festival, 4 x unlimited theme park passes to Wet N Wild, Movie World and Sea World, and a $500 box office voucher for Brisbane Powerhouse! Yahoo!

With the theme of this year’s Radiothon based on banana mascot ‘Jeff’ and his journey trying to complete his bucket list, now is the time to add and tick off ‘subscribe to 4ZZZ’ on your bucket list! Find out more about the Radiothon and subscriptions here.
