In just a few weeks, Bayharbour fans will be able to get their hands on a copy of the band’s new single Find Solace. The track, described as “so hard out it’s like a fly-kick to the face,” precedes and gives preview to the metalcore quintet’s sophomore EP which is due out in the first half of 2016.

Interestingly, Find Solace is the first song the band has produced since changing their line-up (Ryan is new, Jay switched from guitar to vocals, and Marcus switched from bass to guitar), which drummer Nat Patterson says makes releasing the song extra cool.

Find Solace discusses accepting the inevitability of death, with parts of the song being taken from unreleased musical ideas that the band were keen to use.

“We basically wanted to write a single that took elements of stuff we’ve written in the past and kicked everything up a notch.  It’s somewhat heavier, more technical and, in some ways, brighter than previous releases,” said Nat.

Influenced by the sound of artists like Architects, Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive and Confession, Find Solace gives fans a first taste of what’s to come on the band’s forthcoming EP.

“We’ve always written music that we enjoy listening to, so fans can expect more of the ‘Bayharbour’ sound on the upcoming record. There’s plenty of riffs, breakdowns, sing-alongs, but also some new vibes that we’re really excited to put out.”

Fans can celebrate Bayharbour’s new single and new tunes at their Find Solace Single Launch at The Brightside on 30, January. The show will be a ‘Fallout’ themed UV party that also features West Battlefront (Adelaide) and local bands The Brave, Wildheart, and Kings. Grab your tickets to make sure you don’t miss out.

Find Solace pre-order bundles with tickets and merch are available here.

Bayharbour will also be performing at El Grande Festival in Brisbane (11 March) and Gladstone (12 March).
