THURSDAY, 25 JULY
ACTION SLACKS ‘BLOOD DISCO’ SINGLE LAUNCH @ THE MILK FACTORY
Brisbane synth-popsters, Action Slacks, are bringing the disco to The Milk Factory this Thursday night to launch their new banger Blood Disco. Helping them keep the disco ball spinning will be Bridget Brandolini and Smells Like Nanna’s House. Prepare to dance Saturday Night Fever style.
BLOOMED FEAT. FUTURE HAUNTS, COLTS & SYCCO @ THE FOUNDRY
Featuring three local acts and exhibiting the work of 13 photographers, Bloomed is a celebration of up-and-coming musicians in the front room and photography in the back room. Taking to the stage are Brissie rockers Future Haunts, pop lovers Colts and psych-jazz act Sycco.
STAR PUPIL & THE URBAN SEA DOUBLE EP LAUNCH @ THE ZOO
It’s all happening at the Zoo this Thursday with not just one EP release – but TWO! Musical purveyor Star Pupil (the new solo project from The Dollar Bill Murrays frontman, Felix Lindgren) is releasing his self-titled debut EP alongside mates The Urban Sea who’re unleashing their debut EP as well. Opening the night with catchy songs about science, Conspiracy of One will also be throwing their hat in the ring, unveiling new single Don’t Forget To Like.

A monthly platform for emerging local artists to make a whole bunch of noise, Stage Fright is your chance to see some of the best emerging music Brisvegas has to offer. Taking the reigns for round 13 are psychedelic folk-pop loves Strange Seed, psyc-popsters EchoWave, and indie-pop quartet L.A. Moon.

Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Creating a sound that pounds you in the chest and leaves your ears buzzing, Brissie grunge-rockers, Regular Band, are delivering their latest single Snow White to an enthusiastic home crowd at The Zoo this weekend with the help of buddies Victor Bravo and Ben Tenison.
BLOOM FESTIVAL @ VARIOUS VENUES
An all ages music festival hosted in collaboration with Brisbane’s own Music Industry College, Bloom Festival showcases local talented emerging and established acts. ELECTRIC ZEBRA ‘CONFESSIONAL SPORTS’ ALBUM LAUNCH @ GREASER BAR
Local favourites, Electric Zebra, are celebrating the release of their debut album Confessional Sports with a shindig at Greaser Bar this weekend. They’ll be joined by The Blockades and The Redundants, so be sure to get in early for an action-packed evening.
MUULES ‘DEEPER’ SINGLE LAUNCH @ THE ZOO
Curating an impressive alt-rock sound sans guitar, Sunshine Coast power trio Muules, are taking things up yet another notch with their latest single Deeper. A call to arms to dig deep and not settle for the mundanities of life, the Deeper single launch show is sure to get you simultaneously thinking and head-banging. Joining Muules on the night are Nonberk and No Intelligent Life – N.I.L.
