SHVRDZ has been creating hard beats and unruly sounds since he was just 13-years-old after inspiration struck in the form of Skrillex. Now a producer in his own right, SHVRDZ has released seven remixes, five singles, a collaborative EP with fellow Brisbane beatmaker Allistere, and in April 2017 his debut EP Waiting.
His most recent release is single One Life – a collaboration with fellow Brisbane artist Aerborn which sees the duo blend dreamlike fragility with classic techno beats. Produced by SHVRDZ, the track expertly mixes the styles of trap, dubstep, and future base to create the perfect soundscape.
Throughout the upcoming months, SHVRDZ is planning to release several more remixes before he drops his second EP. While you eagerly relate his future releases, take dive into his CD collection, and see who he’s currently drawing inspiration from and playing on repeat…
12 SONGS I PLAY ON REPEAT FOR INSPIRATION BY SHVRDZ
Homemade Dynamite (Remix) feat. Khalid, Post Malone & SZA │ Lorde │LISTEN HERE
The production on this is crazy. I love how simple the song is, yet how huge it sounds.
Messy Love │Mura Masa │ LISTEN HERE
The first song on his latest album and easily my favourite.
Tom’s Battery │ Frequent & COPYCATT │ LISTEN HERE
This track is crazy. I remember COPYCATT was hanging out at our apartment and I overheard him working on this and was immediately like HOLY SHIT.
Big Fish │ Vince Staples │ LISTEN HERE
Such a catchy tune. My favourite part is when Vince raps “Or the boop, bop, bam, cuz”
Would You Ever │ Skrillex & Poo Bear │ LISTEN HERE
Ahhh I love this. Such and uplifting song. This song always makes me so happy.
Over U (ft. Yeah Boy) │ Enshcway │ LISTEN HERE
Another uplifting track! I really like the breakdown and chords in this.
Lose It (ft. Macntaj) │ Oski & Hydraulix │ LISTEN HERE
Massive tune! I love how everything fits together in the drop.
Killing in the Name (Just a Tune Flip) │ Rage Against The Machine │ LISTEN HERE
This is sooooo huge. Whenever it comes on I usually have the skip back and listen to it all again because it just doesn’t go for long enough. It kind of reminds me of Justice – Genesis.
Big For Your Boots │ Stormzy │ LISTEN HERE
I saw Stormzy at Splendour in the Grass and it was easily the best thing ever!
Embrace (ft. Xavier Dunn) │ NGHTMRE & Carmada │ LISTEN HERE
I literally heard this last night and have probably already listen to it 5 times now. The drop is insane.
Be There (ft. Erin Finlay) │ WILDLYF │ LISTEN HERE
The production on this is crazy. Such a massive song.
Anywhere (WATGOOD Remix) │ Adian Coker │ LISTEN HERE
WATGOOD is such an underrated producer. Everything he makes is incredible, and this is no exception.
